Hands-on Class: Postcards in Paint: Travel Sketching with Watercolor Markers
Join artist Brandy Wheeler on Tuesday, June 23 from 1–3 PM for a hands-on watercolor workshop inspired by her original travel postcard collection. In this beginner-friendly class, Brandy will share her creative process and demonstrate techniques for using watercolor markers and ink to create vibrant, expressive paintings inspired by northern Michigan landscapes.
Participants will receive a pre-printed sketch based on one of Brandy’s travel postcard designs and will learn how to bring it to life using watercolor marker techniques and ink details. Attendees can follow along using the original postcard artwork as inspiration while creating their own finished piece to take home.
Perfect for beginners and experienced creatives alike. All materials are provided.
Location & Accessibility: This workshop will be held in the upstairs studio above Bayside Gallery in Suttons Bay, Michigan. Access to the class area requires climbing one flight of stairs, as elevator access is not available.
