The artist, David, creates his beautiful wood bowls and light pendants from salvaged trees he finds in Miami, Florida. He makes bowls using over 53 types of trees including Mahogany, Banyan, Mango and more. He cuts channels into the wood and pours the resin. Then he forms the wood until the resin is visible. This creates a magical effect when his pieces catch the light. All bowls and light pendants are made from only one piece of wood. The wood is never glued together.
The bowls have been finished with food grade mineral oil and beeswax-based sealer, making it functional as well as beautiful.
Caring for your bowl is easy: Clean using water and mild soap with soft sponge, dry with towel. Refinish your bowl with butcher block conditioner after five washings to keep it looking good and protect the wood from water damage.
"NEVER put your bowl in the dishwasher, microwave or wood chipper." David
